This A/C was forced to land at LPLA due a medical problem with one of the passenger. The landing was made facing strong winds due a storm in the area. Due to crew had exceeded his flying hours and the bad weather the plane was grounded.

Another medical emergency at Lajes Field.

Flight TX515 from  Fort-de-France to Paris had to divert to Terceira Island due a medical problem with one of her passengers. Here is seen taking off from rwy 15 one and half hour after her landing. Lajes shows once again his enormous importance in the transatlantic flights.

Amazing take off on rwy 33 with a beautiful sunset light. This A/C (flight from Paris to Fort-de-France) had to divert to LPLA a couple of hours earlier due an medical problem with one of her passenger. Unfortunatly the passenger died. My condolences to family and friends!
